Topics: Systems

Life is a complex machine. We can’t directly map our efforts to their results: three years of work may spontaneously become global recognition.

A CAS (complex adaptive system) means “a system that is complex in that it is a dynamic network of interactions, but the behavior of the ensemble may not be predictable according to the behavior of the components”1. That is, we don’t know what we get out of what we put in.

Thus, theres no use trying to plan the exact path from A to B; just get a little closer every day — Baby steps beat Herculean feats.
